♡ CDC recommends washing hands with soap and water whenever possible because handwashing reduces the amounts of all types of germs and chemicals on hands. But if soap and water are not available, using a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol can help you avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others.

For hand sanitizer to be effective, it must have at least 60% alcohol content, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Store-bought hand sanitizers will also often have emollients to counter the harshness of the alcohol on the skin. If you don't have that in your homemade recipe, you could risk hurting your hands, Sally Bloomfield, a professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine told the Guardian.

Maintain a distance of at least 1 meter (3 feet) between you and anyone who coughs or sneezes.
♤ Avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth
Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses.  After being contaminated, the hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose, or mouth.  From there, viruses can enter your body and can make you sick.
♡ Breathing Hygiene
Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene.  This means covering your mouth and nose with elbows or bent tissue when you cough or sneeze.  Then immediately remove the used tissue.


How To Make Hand Sanitizer at Home

Ingredient
♡ 2/3 cup Isopropyl alcohol 91% (rubbing alcohol)
♡ 1/3 cup aloe vera gel:
♡ Essential oil in your choice of fragrance (optional)
♡ A small or medium mixing bowl
♡ A spoon
♡ An empty container, such as a 3-ounce container from a travel toiletries kit
♡ A small piece of masking tape for labeling
How To Make
♡ In a mixing bowl, stir together with Isopropyl alcohol and aloe vera gel until it is evenly mixed
♡ Add 8-10 drops of fragrant essential oil.  Toss to join.
♡ Pour the homemade hand sanitizer into an empty container and seal.  Write "hand sanitizer" on tape and stick it on the bottle.
